Design of an Automated Control System for Soil Nutrient Deficiency of Yellow Corn
The nutrient deficiency in soil lessens the yield of crops as well as affects the growth of crops. As a result, this requires a suitable treatment process to address the nutrient deficiency. A good soil quality is important for successful agricultural outcomes because it ensures that plants and crops are maintained. Through correct management of soil nutrients, crop yield will increase. The authors propose the design and development of an automated control system for soil nutrient deficiency of yellow corn. The device will be composed of sensors, controller, power source, and fertilizer applicator to be installed in an agricultural field and apply the appropriate treatment process. The sensor detects the amount of Nitrogen (N), Phosphorus (P), and Potassium (K) in the soil. The system is intended to determine what nutrients are deficient. After the detection process, a signal is transmitted to the fertilizer applicator to start the treatment process.
