Experimental Evaluation of Traction System Based on Induction Motor and Rotor Field Orientation Control
The paper is focused on the experimental results of a control algorithm based on the rotor field-oriented (RFOC) implemented on the dSPACE 1103 prototyping system, obtained on a traction system with an induction motor with a power of 50 kW. A selection of results are presented when the traction system operates in "Automatic" working mode, the prescribed torque at 100% and passing through the following sequences: starting with the prescribed speed of 2000 rpm – steady state operation-braking to stop. The presented experimental results show that the implemented algorithm determines very good dynamic performances and in full agreement with the physical phenomenon.
