A case study for a five phase induction motor using Finite Element Analysis on healthy operation and operation with an open-phase fault
The paper presents the electromagnetic torque dependence with the rotor’s speed of a five phase induction motor using the Finite Element Analysis. In this study, both frequency domain analysis and step by step in time domain analysis are made imposing the rotor’s speed. It is proposed an operation point for continuous operation under one open-phase fault.
