Data Acquisition Platform for Measuring Resistive Sensors Printed on a Robotic Arm
There is a need for new technologies that can enhance the use of production lines in a more flexible fashion, in order to obtain custom products, with greater efficiency. This project aims at developing a digital toolkit and devices for printing sensors and electronic nodes on a robotic arm, directly on the production line. As part of the project, a data acquisition platform needs to be developed, in order to take data from sensors, analyze it and send commands to the rest of the system. This paper presents the design and implementation of two versions (a nonindustrial and an industrial platform) and also a discussion regarding the characteristics and use of the platforms.
