Dielectric Properties of PA6-HGB-MWNT Hybrid Composites
The dielectric response of hybrid composites made of polyamide 6, hollow glass bubbles and multi-walled carbon nanotubes is analyzed in this paper. The hybrid composites tested in this work contained 4% multi-walled carbon nanotubes and 10% to 30% hollow glass bubbles of micrometer size. The role played by the hybrid filler on the dielectric response as well as the temperature influence on the dielectric properties are discussed based on results obtained by dielectric spectroscopy measurements performed at temperatures between 30 and 70 °C and in the frequency range 10-2-106 Hz. The analyzed spectra of the composites reveal three thermally activated dielectric relaxations. All these relaxations are also found in the case of the unfilled polymer, but the hybrid filler influences their position and/or strength.
