Patient Tele-monitoring System
Telemedicine helps medical assistance based on the use of information and communication technology. The system we designed and developed at a laboratory prototype, i.e. Patient Tele-monitoring System is basically an application of Tele-medicine with the main purpose to streamline the diagnosis process, and so to reduce the waiting time of the patient in the waiting room of emergency or ambulatory medicine cabinet. Experiments we made in our discrete event systems laboratory concurred with the expectations of medicine specialists we consulted for advices. Further development of this work is also presented in the last chapter.
